Comms and Shared Learning
Knowledge loss is a key issue for fire & rescue authorities. This project will seek to provide mechanisms whereby key learning and knowledge can be shared so that it is not lost as individuals leave the service.
What did we set out to achieve?
- Provide support for knowledge sharing events run by FRAs across the region
- Procure and implement a recruitment portal for fire-fighter recruitment
- Investigate a capital procurement for a recruitment pod
- Share policies between FRAs, saving the cost of each FRA developing its own policy and generate expected savings of £100k annually
- Publicise successes on a local, regional and national level
What have we achieved so far?
- We have developed a comprehensive communications strategy to help publicise our successes
- We are running knowledge sharing events across the region
